Retro Movie Night Part II

Casablanca was such a hit that Ally and i decided to make your movie night a weekly tradition! This weekend was my turn to pick the movie and i chose a personal favorite that was introduced to me by a blogging friend, Rebecca aka the Clothes Horse. We were sold on the amazing cast for this one too! Shirley MacLaine, Paul Newman, Dick Van Dyke, Dean Martin, etc.

What a Way to Go follows the tragic story of Louisa May Foster-Hopper-Flint-Anderson-Benson-Crawly as she goes through husband after husband. All she wants is the simple life exemplified by Henry David Thoreau, but what she finds is a simple husband who is doomed to success and riches before meeting is fatal doom; and this happens with every man she loves. Each husband is shown with a different type of cinematography from a silent film, a big budget production, to a Broadway musical. This whimsical film wouldn’t be complete without tons of crazy outfits that changed with each husband.

I give the movie 7 stars out of 5 😀

and here are some pictures from the film!

I'm very rich and you're very poor. sooner or later, you'll come around
